How you do Searching...
clearString codeless web development software makes the creation of custom data forms a straightforward task
Working with Searches
clearString provides powerful tools to enable you to build custom searches within your site or application with the minimum of configuration. You can, of course, use external search plug-ins - like Google Site Search - but they are not suitable for most business applications. External tools either cost more, or are paid for with advertising - adverts that can take your hard-earned visitor off to another site.
clearString has search tools for both unstructured data - regular website pages, and structured data where pages are constructed from table entries - as in blogs, knowledgebases or ecommerce.
Structured and Unstructured data
In unstructured searching you have many controls - selecting which parts of the site are searched,
choosing whether searches should ignore word fragments, choosing whether the searches should be logged (for later marketing analysis), selecting how many results are shown per page, selecting how long the snippets are and whether matches are highlighted in the results.
Searching structured content is even more powerful, because as well as returning a simple indexed list of results, the system allows the designer to match results by relevance and weight the results to give the visitor the most meaningful result to their search.
